Connect at the TNC26 Social Events
Don’t forget to join our various social events during your time in Helsinki as it’s a great way to socialise with other participants!
This event is the perfect opportunity for speakers and session chairs to meet, discuss presentations, catch up with community members and make new connections. It will take place at Botta, very close to the Helsinki Music Hall.
– By invite only –
The traditional TNC Morning Run is an informal, voluntary activity that will be held on Tuesday 9 June, starting at 07:00 in front of the Helsinki Music Hall at the TNC26 entrance. The run will cover a distance of 5km and last approximately one hour. Pauses on the run will allow us to catch our breath, chat with fellow runners and learn a bit about our host city. This is a great way to meet people that you might not otherwise come across at TNC.
More information will be shared with registered participants closer to the date.
The Opening Reception will take place at the Helsinki Music Hall, immediately after the last parallel session of the day. This is when you can socialise with other participants, meet the speakers, and engage with our partners.
Have you heard about the Open Mic Night? During the opening reception, head over to the Community Hub – attendees are invited to take the floor and share whatever they love – a hidden talent, singing, dancing, spoken word, comedy, you name it! Check out this dedicated post for more information.
After the reception, the Kick-Off Party will begin! Starting from 20:30, participants can head to club Maxine to celebrate the start of TNC26. Located in the city centre, the club will be a great place to network, socialise or dance the night away – with a great view over the city!
How to get there? Club Maxine is located in the Kamppi shopping centre, at the top floor (6th floor). You can get in by taking the elevator on the Narinkkatori side.
Who can join? All registered participants (Full Conference Pass or Tuesday Social Pass holders) are welcome! Take the conference badge with you as it will be your entry pass for the event. You will also need it to collect your drink vouchers.
On Wednesday 10 June, CSC will host the Conference Dinner at the Wanha Satama, a historic harbour from the 1890s. Located by the sea in Helsinki’s Katajanokka district, the building functioned for a long time as a customs warehouse, through which various commodities, such as coffee and spices, passed to the inhabitants of the then Grand Duchy of Finland. Today the venue hosts plenty of business, arts, music and food festivals, including the iconic Finnish salmiakki candy.
Who can join? All registered participants (with a Full Conference Pass or Wednesday Social Pass) are invited. Take the conference badge with you as it will be your entry pass for the event.
Is there a dress code? Casual. A jacket is recommended, the evenings in June can still be a bit chilly in Helsinki.
